31 weeks/8 months

At this point, visits are every 3 weeks.  At yesterdays visit, Olivia Marie Williams weighed 3 lbs 12 oz with a heart rate in the 150's.  Doc said out of 100 kids, she'd be number 52 on the scale for her weight which makes me happy.

From baby center:
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

From the bump:
Baby's now the size of a squash!
Baby's going through major brain and nerve development these days. His irises now react to light, and all five senses are in working order. (He won't pick up anything from his nose until after birth, though -- smell is transferred through air, not amniotic fluid.)

28 weeks and 84 days left!!!

So they say a pregnant woman are more susceptible to catching even the common cold and it seems I hit the jackpot in that category this past Saturday when I came down with a really deep cough in my chest...I hit the prescribed meds and rested the entire weekend.  Doc says it's going around and I just have to let it take its course...either way it is not fun!!!

I took the glucose test (by the way the drink was not bad and was gone in no time - of course it helped that I woke up that morning with a sore throat) yesterday and hope to not hear from the doc today (that would be good news).

On to the weekly emails -

From the bump:
Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's lungs are mature enough that, if born right now, she has a pretty good chance of surviving (with help from medical technology). Her skin is still pretty wrinkly (one byproduct of living in amniotic fluid) but will smoothen as fat continues to deposit. Baby, fetus at 28 weeks - BabyCenter

From baby center:
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

Baby movement

For the last couple of weeks, I have felt the baby's movement - which feels like gas bubbles.  Tonight sitting on the couch I decided I would see if I could see my stomach move when the "bubbles" were felt and I could!!!  So I shared the moment with Chuck and she moved again.  Wonder if it has anything to do with me eating shortly before the movement was taking place......
